Psychotherapy for adults
Behavior therapy is a scientifically recognized therapy treatment. It typically abides by the results of fundamental research and incorporates a large spectrum of psychotherapeutic methods. Thereby behavior therapy focuses on the present and is goal-orientated and transparent.
The central idea of the psychotherapeutic treatment is support for self-help. After a differentiated analysis of the (biographic) background of his/her problems, the patient is given methods with which to cope with them better in the future. Furthermore, the patient gets detailed information about the specific condition. The goal of this procedure is to let the informed patient have a say in the therapy.
Psychotherapy for children and adolescents
Scientific evidence is on hand for successful methods in the field of behavioral therapeutic treatment (based on fundamental psychological research) for children and adolescents, as for adults.
Children and adolescents should learn to help themselves in the future. Therefore, the syndrome is explained to the patient in an age-based manner and its origin is analyzed together. In the therapy, children and adolescents are given strategies for coping better with everyday situations in the family, with friends or in school.
